Jets CB Strickland to sit out Sunday (AP)

Cornerback Donald Strickland will miss the New York Jets' game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a strained quadriceps, while punter Steve Weatherford is questionable with a tweaked hamstring. Coach Rex Ryan said Weatherford was a full participant in practice Friday, but injured his right hamstring.

Vick expected to play against Cowboys (AP)

Michael Vick practiced again Friday and is expected to be the backup quarterback when the Philadelphia Eagles visit Dallas on Sunday. Vick didn't play in last Sunday's victory over Denver because of a quadriceps contusion. He normally backs up Donovan McNabb and takes a few snaps each game in Philadelphia's variation of the wildcat offense.

McDaniels benches Marshall for finale (AP)

Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels says he is benching Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall for the team's critical season finale against Kansas City. McDaniels wouldn't directly address the reasons for his decision, although he mentioned accountability and said several other players will play Sunday with injuries worse than Marshall's.
