Givens’ suit against Titans thrown out (AP)
A federal judge has thrown out a $25 million lawsuit by former Tennessee Titans wide receiver David Givens against the team. U.S. District Judge Todd Campbell said in a ruling Wednesday that Givens’ claims were not independent of the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between the Titans and the NFL Players Association.

Falcons, WR Finneran agree to extension (AP)
The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a contract extension with wide receiver Brian Finneran, who avoids free agency. The 34-year-old Finneran caught 11 passes for 111 yards in 10 games in 2009, his second season since missing the 2006-07 seasons with knee injuries. Finneran led the Falcons with 50 catches for 611 yards in 2005.

Jaguars cut WR Holt, LT Thomas, DT Meier (AP)
