Royal aqua, orange and white are colors that are common with this team along with a frenzied crowd at the Pro Player Stadium in Florida and named after the dwelling dolphins in the coast. That in a nutshell is ‘Miami Dolphins’, the AFC Eastern Division football team. The team became authorized with AFC in 1965 and after a losing streak signed up with the NFL and appointed the legendary Don Shula as their coach 1972 proved to be a high point when they finished a season without a loss, the first and only team to do it.
The dolphins carried on their success through the coming decades with Dan Marino getting in the team in 1983. He went on to break the records for touchdowns, yards and completions. While Shula was replaced in 1995, Marino decided to call it a day in ‘99.
