Houston Texans, a South Division AFC professional football team is one of the recent most additions in the National Football League. They made their debut in professional football in the 2002 season of NFL. The new Reliant Stadium in Houston has been selected as the home venue for the Texans.
The team came into being in 1999 when a rival proposal from LA, California did not work out and consequently NFL gave a nod to the bid by Houston . Managed by Charley Casserly, the team’s owner is entrepreneur Robert McNair under whom the team got christened in the September of 2000. Dom Capers of Jacksonville Jaguars was incorporated as the head coach of the Texans in 2001.
